Killer B "Optima" Standard Headphones These “Killer B’s” are the Killer B's most popular headphones. They feature lightweight cups with an external strain relief on the coiled cord. “Killer B’s” come standard with a 41 position, single volume control, a mode switch that will make them compatible with almost any detector, larger diameter, soft to the touch control knob, color coded toggle switch, and a ¼” angled plug on the end of one of the industries most durable coiled cords. Inside the phones are two 150 ohm speaker elements that are sensitive enough even to pick up the faintest of signals. Killer B’s fit snugly on your head so as not to slip around, but still remain comfortable for all day hunting. Killer B’s come in your choice of Green or Black and pack a limited lifetime warranty. |

Killer B Hornet Headphones The "Hornet" is a tank style headphone. They consist of a heavier style ear cups with the external strain relief. The heavier cup is great for that person that needs just a little bit more ear clearance. The "Hornet" by Killer B’s now come standard with 41 position dual volume controls, soft to the touch control knobs, a color coded push button mode switch that will make them compatible with almost any detector, a color coded push button limiter circuit. Why push buttons, well they are less likely to be knocked out of position when hunting those brushy areas. A 1/4" angled plug on the end of one of the industries most durable coiled cords that is a full nine feet long. “Killer B” headphones are the result of one treasure hunter wanting to provide other treasure hunters with a high quality product at a reasonable price.
We did not reinvent the wheel and we are not trying to sell some new “gadget”.
All we have done is “blended” a very high quality set of industrial earmuffs, sensitive elements, wire and electronic components into a great set of phones. No magic, no hype.
Our components were selected based on quality and durability. The number one question asked by serious hunters is: Will the coiled cord hold up to “hard hunting”, “relic hunting” and use in brush…………The answer is Yes!
There may be failures (as with any component or brand), but we feel our cords and cross wires are the best on the market.
After years of testing, we have concluded that a cord nine foot long when relaxed will allow for ample coil stretch without being so long as to grab limbs or droop below your knees.
The Killer B’s will deliver a crisp audio response with volume to spare.
High output 150 ohm (nominal impedance) speaker elements which are certified as hearing aid compatible and are sensitive enough to pick up even the faintest of signals. Aluminum case construction with polymer cones for moisture and sweat protection.
Sensitivity at 1 kHz: 73 ± 2 dB[(dyne/cm2)2]
The earphone is hearing-aid compatible as tested in accordance with EIA Std RS 504.
